Location 4

Hans Op de Beeck mainly makes video installations and models. In Rotterdam he presents his largest spatial work so far. Location 4 is an evocation of a social neighbourhood from the Fifties, that now looks deserted and devastated. Without direct references or quotes, Op de Beeck evokes a miniature world that lingers between reconstruction and filmic illusion. He uses light and framing to direct our gaze.
