Khiam was a prison in Southern Lebanon, that was run without international control by the Christian militias supported by Israel. The six protagonists in this film talk about the ten years they were imprisoned there in abominable conditions. Apart from a political indictment of these detention methods, the film is primarily an almost metaphysical reflection on the human instinct for survival.
