The young Romanian Wanda (Oana Solomon) works as a callgirl. She doesn't realise that her neighbour Waller (Florian Lukas, last year the star in Absolute Giants) spies on her all the time, and she has no idea that he blackmails her customers with the video tapes he makes in secret. And she really doesn't know where all the money comes from that she regularly finds in her letterbox. When Wanda and Waller happen to bump into each other in the lobby of the apartment building, Waller tries to make contact with her, but Wanda refuses to respond to his approaches. After all, she already has enough problems: she is being blackmailed by her husband who has kidnapped their son. She goes out and walks the street for him every night. Nevertheless, Waller finds out about her problems and from that moment on he regards himself as her guardian angel. Completely against her own wishes, he wants to rescue her from that life, but a new life will cost a lot of money.Otto Alexander Jahrreis, the maker of cult successes such as Der Menschenfresser and Alles Bob!, had complete control over his film project: as well as writer and director, he was also producer. The result is a meticulously made film in which one is especially struck by the colours and the precise framing of the wide-screen shots.
