Just as Bitomsky made essay films about the (military) industry of the Third Reich, and in doing so made general statements about the motivation of the Nazis, now he is working on a documentary essay about the legendary American B-52 bomber. A plane designed to fight nuclear wars, but one which turned out to be so flexible that it is still in use today. The planned documentary will be two hours long and promises to be one of Bitomsky's most important films. A parable about American culture.
