An ordinary summer week for a group of privileged twenty- somethings in a small town in the white Anglo-Saxon Protestant north east of the US. They are rather entangled in the small and basic issues of life. Some wonder what they want, others why they are doing what they are doing. Isabella, just graduated, is troubled by a decaying relationship and wants a new job. Her little sister Bianca, who has lived in Los Angeles for a while to get her first book published, returns to her boyfriend Julian. Then there is Daphne, who goes to all ends to seduce Julian. And Alice, who helps her, and who has had a one-night stand with her professor. The relationship between Steven and Eleanor is pressured by a lack of 'quality time'. And Julian's flat-mate Ricky is a strange man, even a little creepy, according to Bianca, with his silent fixation on women. At a high tempo all these characters move in all directions, while life apparently babbles on. In an intimate and charming way, Say It Isn't So portrays a group of young people who are at the heart of society, but who also miss the boat in some respects. A struggle with business partners, career and family, without losing sight of the positive aspects, by Odetta Ciancarelli - who also plays the role of Bianca - presented with restrained humour and love.
