The Canadian artist/photographer Jeff Wall is followed by Alexander Oey as he goes about his work. Oey meets Wall, who initially was very dubious about whether a film should be made about him, while he is preparing a performance in Hoofddorp near Amsterdam. We also see him at work in Rotterdam and Los Angeles. Oey shot without a crew and with a small digital camera, which is one of the reasons why the tone of the film is so personal and intimate.
