Wu shan yun yu

The film is set in a small village by the Yangtse River. The thirty-year-old introvert Mai Qiang operates the signal flags for ships navigating the river. A good friend of his is convinced that the shy Mai would be freed of his problems if he found a wife. Chen Qing, a widow with a son, is receptionist at a ramshackle hotel. She is to get married soon, so she puts an end to the affair with her boss, whom she has granted sexual pleasures for years. After Mai and Chen meet for the first time, Chen’s boss tells the police that Mai raped Chen. But in the end the truth emerges.Rainclouds Over Wushan is a modest and contemporary film that provides a keen picture of its slightly unworldly and unconventional characters. Their relationships are finely shown with great feeling for detail.
