Geoffrey Beene: 30. was commissioned by the American fashion designer Geoffrey Beene, to celebrate his thirtieth anniversary in the business. With a group of players and a loose, three-part structure, this film returns to the era of the silent black & white film. The film is full of references to classics such as Le sang d'un poète and Die Büchse der Pandora and plays waywardly with the classic form.
