With this film, that was shot in one week, Cavalier comes to terms with the death of his wife. The film records the signs of her presence. Photos, love letters but also ridiculous shopping lists. Cavalier himself appears, his head hidden in a bandage, as the person who paints his apartment black. This self-destructive action is broken off by a flame. At first weak, but later strong enough to chase away darkness. A rough film with a simple design. This unusual, painfully lonely autobiography is in a sense almost unacceptable.
