The title means in Spanish deserted, abandoned. The film is set in the nature of the Spanish Pyrenees and is about the village of Janovas, abandoned in the Franco era. Alongside pictures of this, an important role is played by black & white photos of life around 1900 in Janovas and other villages in the area. The whole thing is backed by subdued NASA-Voyager Space Sounds.
