The Doom Generation is a stylised, hallucinatory trip into the unknown. A psychedelic story about the intense, wild relationship between three hopelessly lost and hopelessly beautiful young people. Amy Blue (Rose McGowan), a seventeen- year-old speed princess, her naïve boyfriend Jordan White (James Duval) and the extremely sexy tramp Xavier Red are forced to undertake a bizarre road-trip when Xavier, unannounced, shoots the head off a QuickieMart employee. The threesome finds itself in a disrupted world of dizzying violence and ubiquitous danger. Things threaten to get completely out of hand when Amy and Jordan get dragged further and further into trouble by the mysterious Xavier. The latter has apparently such a rotten karma that, every time the three of them stop somewhere for some junk food and a Diet Coke, someone ends up losing their life in a gruesome way. While this bunch of youthful outsiders travel the soft underbelly of the States, Amy sleeps with both Jordan and Xavier – a triolism of love, sex and despair that is really too pure for this world.
