Uncompromising portrait of a man who is corrupted by his over-sized ego. After a journey out of town, Nick returns to Brooklyn and finds that his world has changed drastically: his girlfriend Mary has been cheating on him with Sid, his best friend. Mary prefers not to talk about it, but says she was forced to. Sid defends himself and argues that the attraction was mutual. In his insecurity and fury, Nick is determined to find out whether it was seduction or sexual abuse, but in his urge to find out the truth, he becomes entangled in a web of deceit, violence and jealousy. The film is a fiery emotional plea about the after-effects of rape and was made by novice director Tim McCann on a mini-budget. Tim McCann attended the SUNY Film Purchase Program, but was send down in 1987 because of a daring performance. He had several jobs before moving to New York, where he worked as a librarian.
