The various narrative lines in are mainly linked by their location: the 18th district in Paris. Black gay Camille and his white lover are addicts and hence always after money. They 'score' in an apparently easy way: by robbing and killing old women. This apparently sensational crime story - partly based on the real atrocities committed by a Parisian serial killer - has been recorded coolly, observantly, Impressionistically and above all amorally. he provocatively ignored all prevalent opinions on political correctness (on race and sexual preferences).
