Mai, a student at art academy, is invited to play a leading role in a feature film about the war against the Americans. During shooting, she falls in love with the director, who was a soldier during the war. In reality she falls for his ‘romantic past’, but she doesn’t realise that. I the end she turns her back on the set to come to terms with her own real life with friends of her own age.The screening of this film which is banned in Luu’s own country has been made possible thanks to a joint initiative by the film festivals of Gothenburg and Rotterdam.
