In his most recent feature Calendar, Egoyan used home¬movie video-recordings. Especially for the Rotterdam Film Festival he made a video of material filmed in Armenia that he didn’t use. The video comprises a homey moment during his stay in Armenia. Atom Egoyan (1960, Cairo) made his feature début in 1984, Next of Kin, and is now a well-known film-maker. At this moment he is working on a new film he wrote himself: Hamlet, Electra and Mother.
