Example of the liberal editorial policy of Das kleine Fernsehspiel in stimulating personal expression. In this documentary, film-maker Amit Goren investigates the problematic relationship of his close family with both Israel and America. His father, who works for a travel agency, and his mother were having a hard time financially in Israel and therefore decided to move temporarily to America in 1966. Once in the USA, his father didn't want to go back. Goren himself had however soon decided to return one day. His family story depicts the general problem of an identity torn apart by emigration.
