Two Features With One Ticket is a film about film-making and about the people who make films in today's Iran. A film director returns from America after many years to make his first Hollywood-inspired film. However the principal actor has an accident and pulls out, while the producer is in a hurry to finish the film in time for the festival. Fortunately the director finds a peddler who resembles the injured actor and casts him in the main role. That is not the end of theproblems, however. The principal actress has family trouble and suddenly decides to emigrate to America. In a tragi-comic way, the film looks at the tension between American and Iranian culture. The attraction of America is so great that the director almost lost his leading lady. He himself prefers to adopt an American style of filming in his native Iran.
