A personal chronicle of a sculptor who is also film-maker. Luyken makes groups of sculptures as ritual places; recording them on film is a regular part of the ritual. Using the idiom of the experimental film, he made a kind of diary in moving images, recording the creation of a formation of stone sculptures which Luycken made on location in Czechoslovakia during a marble symposium in Kraliky. Turning Point is also the title of the group do sculptures. The work in Czechoslovakia led to an invitation to work on a huge rock during a sculptors' symposium in the Plasy monastery, Austria. Because for Luycken life and work are one activity , his family life is also included in this film chronicle. The film was shot chronologically using all the techniques offered by a 16mm camera, such as single frame, delays, speed½up and double exposures, however without sound. During the festival, Luyken will, as has been his habit for years, provide live music for his film.
