The Waiting is a documentary film portraying the romance of Donna and Raymond. A special relationship because Raymond is an inmate at Sing Sing Jail. The piece is structured around a visit to prison, but the audience is also privy to many of the frustrations Donna faces as the wife of a convict. In a light tone, The Waiting explores the intermingling of two very American institutions: prison and marriage.
