The young criminal Wojtek breaks into Kasia's house. The shocked girl tries to put Wojtek out of action by offering him drink. It works. The honest postman Karol admires Kasia and wants to be her knight. The question is whether Kasia appreciates this concern. The three play a bizarre game in which the rules keep changing.Wieczynski suggests that his film is about the simple and honest passions of unpretentious people. The title is a reference to Kieslowski's Decalogue, which Wieczynski regards as illustrating and narrating the ten commandments all too clearly. His own characters are lost as if in a mist and live from day to day. Wieczynski: 'What happens is determined by people, as they are, and not by commandments.'Originally this film made with little money but plenty of flair and black humour only lasted 45 minutes, but after a screening is France was received enthusiastically, the maker decided to turn it into a full-length feature.
