IFFR Filmclub x RSCW
Rotterdam Street Culture Week (17–23 August) is the festival that celebrates, programmes and helps develop street culture in the broadest sense of the word. From skating to breaking, from panna to music, from street art to spoken word: for one week, the whole of Rotterdam is dedicated to street culture.

We’ll be in the halfpipe at Skateland Rotterdam Zuid with a screening of two films centred on street culture, community and creativity: EAST WEST Market by Rotterdam filmmaker and visual anthropologist Stacii Samidin, and Neverland by Luuk Sieben.
Shot on location in Chinatown, New York City and New Jersey, EAST WEST Market follows the creation of Tyler Chan’s “EAST WEST Market” – a documentary project capturing contemporary Chinese identities across the global diaspora.
Neverland explores the Dutch motocross street culture. Euphoric highs, physical danger and societal taboos are all explored in this loving short, revealing a vibrant and dynamic subculture fueled by camaraderie and a shared passion for life on two wheels.
Entrance: free (no tickets or reservation needed)
