An ever-evolving performance using a carousel slide projector and Cauleen Smith’s vinyl record, Black Utopia LP brings together the artist’s research into Sun Ra, Afrofuturism and the African diaspora. Incorporating new slides from research in the Netherlands, the performance plays around with a constellation of sounds, images and histories to unravel a dynamic and musical flow.
