A nice break, holidaymakers Pedro and Eva think. All-inclusive holiday paradise Vistamar has beautiful swimming pools and golf links. The new management (a wonderful role by Breaking Bad’s R.J. Mitte) also offers hostess Gloria great career opportunities. But while she gets a promotion, her husband Andres is not so sure.
Typical Sebastián Hofmann: more cracks soon appear in paradise. Unfortunately, Pedro and Eva's luxury apartment has been double-booked. Eva decides there’s nothing else to do but share their rooms with the exuberant sunburnt family suddenly standing at the door. But Pedro is bent on recompense and becomes increasingly entangled in the incomparable rhetoric of the cheerful staff. On his warpath, he encounters the frustrated Andres. Their joint paranoia, focused on the clutches of the sinister conglomerate, assumes worrying proportions.
At IFFR 2013, Hofmann made his debut with Halley. His second feature, Time Share, was supported by the Hubert Bals Fonds and presented in 2014 at CineMart.
Nominated for the VPRO Big Screen Award.
