Ruthless Man

Imagine Rome as presented in Vittorio de Sica's Ladri di biciclette (1948), but then not only as a sad and forsaken place, but as a hellish maze controlled by organized crime. With Bala as well as with Vittorio De Sica, trouble starts when a bike gets stolen – but in Ruthless Man this leads to a happy-go-lucky middle class youngster being sucked in by the drug trade when he tries to get back what is his, finally making a respectable person in the eyes of his family.
