Stephanie Ricci
Stephanie Ricci (1995, Brazil) studied film at EICAR (France, 2015) and FAAP (Brazil, 2018). She holds a postgraduate degree in Writing Arts from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2021, Portugal) and is currently studying decoloniality in curatorial film practices at the EQZE (San Sebastián, Spain). She specialised in screenwriting at Roteiraria (Brazil, 2022), in hybrid and performative dramaturgies at Teatro Cemitério de Automóveis (Brazil, 2019) and in documentary at the International Film Academy (2014). She wrote about Culture for Folha de São Paulo between 2017 and 2019 and since 2021 has been teaching film to teenagers at Daqui Pra Fora (São Paulo). Among other projects, she wrote and directed the short films Those Who Move (2024) and Freedom is a Word (2019). Today, she also collaborates with European and migrant filmmakers as a screenwriter, script supervisor and assistant director.
