Ildikó Enyedi
Ildikó ENYEDI (1955, Budapest) studied economics and attended the theatre and film academy in Budapest. In 1989, she made her first feature, Az én XX századom, which was screened in Rotterdam and won the Camera d’Or for best debut at the Cannes film festival. In 2002, she was awarded the Officer’s Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit. Her most well-known film, On Body and Soul (2017), won the top prize at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival, among other awards, and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Her latest film, Silent Friend (2025, IFFR 2026), premiered at the 82nd Venice Film Festival, where it won the FIPRESCI Prize.
