Ghina Abboud

Ghina ABBOUD is a Lebanese filmmaker who graduated in 2013 with degrees in audiovisual arts from Al Kafaat University and journalism from the Lebanese University. She began her career as a segment director for various TV stations and production companies. Her debut film Batoul, Do You See Me? launched her filmmaking journey, and she has since directed and produced five short films: Robert! (2016), Permission (2017), Youssef (2017), Light (2021) and Musca (2022). In 2024, she released her first feature documentary, Until We Rest, produced in collaboration with Al Jazeera Documentaries. The film received the Lune d’Or at the Festival International des Jeunes Cinéastes in Montreuil, France. Currently, Abboud is developing a film that explores the ongoing conflict in South Lebanon, while also editing her upcoming feature documentary Aarsal, Throne Of God.
