Ali Kasmaie
Ali KASMAIE (1915, Iran), known as the ‘Father of Iranian Dubbing’, was a pioneering figure in Iran’s cinema and dubbing industry. Born in Tehran, he studied law at the University of Tehran and worked as a journalist, serving as Editor-in-Chief for several major newspapers. He entered cinema in 1950 as a screenwriter and directed three fiction features. He also became renowned for his contributions to dubbing and trained many prominent Iranian voice actors. His career spanned screenwriting, directing, acting and voice direction, earning him a lasting legacy in Iranian cinema. Kasmaie passed away in Tehran at the age of 97.
