Ugochukwu Azuya

Ugochukwu AZUYA (Nigeria) is a filmmaker and writer living in Lagos, who works with photography, video art and experimental film. His work deals with sexuality, memory, socio-political situations and history within an African and Nigerian context. Azuya says he is influenced by Claire Denis and Hou-Hsiao-Hsein among others. Swimming in a Sea of Trauma (2023) has its world premiere at IFFR 2023.
