Sandra Rodriguez

Sandra RODRIGUEZ PhD, is a creative director (VR/XR/AI), producer, and sociologist of new-media tech. She explores interactive, web-based and new forms of immersive non-fiction, garnering multiple awards (including a Peabody, best immersive experience IDFA DocLab; Best VR Leipzig DokNeuland, Best VR Numix, best storytelling UNVR, and a prestigious Golden Nica award at Ars Electronica). Her recent work ranges from immersive live performance to multi-user XR theatre and large-scale installations, always exploring the sparks that fly at the crossroads of AI, VR and human creativity. Rodriguez is a Sundance StoryLab Fellow, a Sundance Institute and MacArthur Non Fiction Grantee. She is also a lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she leads HackingXR, MIT’s first official course on XR creation.
