Natalia Cabrera

Natalia CABRERA is a media artist and interactive storyteller from Chile. Her work expands from documentary films to VR worlds and AR apps. She received her bachelor’s degree in Film Production from Universidad de Chile, and a master’s in Media Arts from ITP (New York University). Natalia has presented her work in museums and galleries in Santiago, Berlin and New York, and has been selected by film festivals worldwide. She has worked as an interactive narratives designer at Memorial Rocas AR, an augmented-reality documentary, and directed Hypha, a virtual-reality experience about the fungi kingdom that premiered at Sundance 2020. She is a founder of Nanai Studio with producer Seba Gonzalez, where they are currently developing Echo Blast, a VR video game about a renegade female bat that roams a lonely city using echolocation, and Symbiotica, a multi-user VR experience about symbiosis as a metaphor for the common good.
