Minos Papas
Minos PAPAS (1978, Cyprus) is a writer, director and cinematographer based in New York. After studying film at the School of Visual Arts, where he received the Outstanding Achievement Award in Cinematography for his short Kalipolis, he worked as a projectionist and later as general manager at the independent theatre Cinema Village. In 2005, he founded the production company Cyprian Films, New York. His debut feature Shutterbug (2009) was followed by Behind the Mirror (2015), which won Best Thriller at the Manhattan Film Festival. He has also produced and shot acclaimed shorts, including Take Me Home (2023) directed by his wife and partner Liz Sargent. His latest feature Motherwitch (2026), a Cypriot folklore fantasy, premieres at IFFR in 2026.
