Mette Knudsen

Mette KNUDSEN (1943, Denmark) is a Danish feminist filmmaker that look into the existential life conditions of women. She began her career as an actor in Christian Braad Thomsen’s feature film debut, Dear Irene. She soon found her voice as a screenwriter and director with her 1975 debut film, Take It Like a Man, Ma’am!. For more than four decades, she has continued to make fiction and documentary films.
