Mat Sentol

Mat SENTOL (1933, Malaysia) is an actor, director and special-effects artist. During the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, he directed and starred in a series of films starting with the name Mat, including Mat bond (1967) and Mat Magic (1971). His use of special effects for these films earned him the reputation of ‘Malaysia’s Father of Visual Effects’. In 2016, his work was the subject of the short documentary The Unsung Hero − Mat Sentol.
