Jirassaya Wongsutin

Jirassaya WONGSUTIN (1992, Thailand) is one of the most gifted filmmakers from Thailand. All three of her student short films won the Thai Short Film and Video Festival’s Best Student Short Film awards three years in a row. Her graduation film That Day of The Month (2014) went on to compete in numerous film festivals, including Busan, Singapore, and Seoul International Women’s Film Festival. It won the Grand Prize at Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival and received the Special Jury Mention from Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.

Wongsutin began her professional career as a screenwriter at GMM Tai Hub, one of the leading commercial film studios in Thailand. She co-wrote Sopon SUKDAPISIT’s The Swimmers (2014) and Parkpoom WONGPOOM’s Homestay (2018). Most recently, she co-wrote and directed the series ONE YEAR 365 Days, My House, Your Home (2019), which established her as one of the most promising film directors from Thailand. Wongsutin is currently developing her first feature-length film, Flat Girls.
