James Richards
James RICHARDS (1983, United Kingdom) is an artist based in Berlin. He graduated in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art and Design in London. His works reveal connections between people, practices, and private, hidden or suppressed histories through archival and online research. He was included in various exhibitions, such as ICA London (2016), Venice Biennale (2017), and Secession Vienna (2018). His short film Rosebud (2013) was nominated for the Turner Prize in 2014, and Raking Light (2014) was selected for a Tiger Award for Short Films at IFFR in 2015. He has often worked with James Richards and When We Were Monsters (2020) is the result of one of their collaborations.
