Ivana Mladenovic
Ivana MLADENOVIC (1984, Serbia) was born in Kladovo, Serbia, but lives and works in Romania. She graduated as a film director from Bucharest’s National University of Film and Theatre and in 2012 directed the documentary Turn off the Lights which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival. Ivana’s first feature Soldiers. Story From Ferentari (2017) premiered at Toronto’s TIFF, and won Premio Sebastiane in San Sebastián Film Festival, while her second feature Ivana The Terrible (2019) won the Special Jury Prize at the Locarno Film Festival. In 2025 she is presenting the CineMart and Darkroom presented project Sorella di Clausura, a satire that had its official premiering at Locarno. It competed for Heart of Sarajevo award in the Competition Programme at Sarajevo Film Festival
The films went through a strong festival circuit from Busan to Copenhagen, Los Angeles to Zagreb, and Trieste to Mins
