Hicham LASRI (1977, Morocco) is a filmmaker known for his creative approach to cinema. In 2011, his debut film THE END received critical acclaim, followed by C’EST EUX LES CHIENS (2013), which tackled the Arab Spring in an unconventional manner and garnered international recognition. His third film, THE SEA IS BEHIND (2014), premiered in Dubai and won awards at various festivals. STARVE YOUR DOG (2015) and HEADBANG LULLABY(2017) further showcased Lasri’s captivating style. JAHILYA (2018) concluded the Dog Trilogy and impressed Asian audiences. Lasri’s films challenge conventions, infusing humanity and freedom into his stories, contributing to a new wave of Moroccan cinema.
