Félix Dufour-Laperrière
Artist and filmmaker Félix DUFOUR-LAPERRIÈRE was born in 1981 in Québec, Canada. His work includes animated films, documentary essays and experimental shorts. He studied animation and experimental cinema in Montreal, where he still lives and works, and made a large number of short films before doing his first feature, Transatlantique, in 2014. Dufour-Laperrière’s work always maintains a close relationship with visual and contemporary arts. His first feature-length animated film, Ville Neuve (2018), was entirely drawn and painted with ink on paper. Archipel (2021) is his second feature documentary, with its world premiere at IFFR.
