Evi Kalogiropoulou

Evi KALOGIROPOULOU is a visual artist and filmmaker working both in Athens and London. She studied at Athens University of Economics and Business, and Athens School of Fine Arts and holds a master’s degree in Moving Image from the Royal College of Art. Kalogiropoulou was granted an Artist in Residency at Somerset House Studios in London and she was awarded a Stavros Niarchos Fellowship at ARTWORKS. Her sculpture work is represented by The Breeder Gallery. She participated in the exhibition The Same River Twice, organised by The DESTE Foundation for Contemporary Art. Her short film Motorway 65 was in official competition at Cannes in 2020. Kalogiropoulou’s films have had various screenings in spaces such as the BFI, the Chisenhale Gallery and the Whitechapel Gallery in London. In her work, she explores ideas associated with inclusion/exclusion, cross-culture identity, and female figures in Ancient Greek mythology frames and post-apocalyptic environments.
