Elena Duque

Filmmaker, programmer, writer and teacher Elena DUQUE (Spain, 1980) combines creative methods like animation, collage and analogue formats in order to explore themes of identity and belonging in her audiovisual work. She has created many experimental short films which have travelled to worldwide screens of numerous art venues and film festivals. Duque has been awarded the Special Mention at Gijón Film Festival in 2020 and won the Best National Film Award CaracasDoc in 2021. Ojitos Mentirosos (2024) is selected for IFFR 2024.
