Astrid van Nimwegen

Traveling between places in her self-converted truck, Astrid VAN NIMWEGEN (1985, The Netherlands) chose photography and moving image as her means of creativity. Her work is an exploration of the balance between minimalism, conceptualism, theatricality and the language of cinema. Van Nimwegen’s work focuses on the relationships between human and non-human actors, and has been internationally presented at film festivals and art venues such as IFFR, NFF, Gemeentemuseum Den Haag, Short Film Festival Oberhausen and New Mediafestival, Seoul. With a Few Mornings, an Evening (2024) van Nimwegen joins IFFR again.
