Aihara Hiromi

AIHARA Hiromi began working with Japanese independent films in the ‘80s, and established her own company, Bewiz, in 1995. After that, she forged a new career as an independent producer, began serving as the scout for IFFR in 1999, and became a programming consultant for international festivals (Toronto/Dubai/Macao). She is also a consultant for project markets such as HAF and APM. Her producing credits include: Tsukamoto Shinya’s Tetsuo II: Body Hammer, Tokyo Fist, Pen-ek Ratanaruang’s Last Life in the Universe, Invisible Waves and Imaoka Shinji’s Underwater Love. Hiromi also directed the 2018 documentary Sukita: The Shoot Must Go On.
