Ahmed El Ghoneimy
Ahmed EL GHONEIMY (1986, Egypt) grew up in Alexandria where he attended the art academy. He lives partly in Prague as a student in philosophy, and partly in Cairo where he works as a filmmaker. His second short film, Bahari (IFFR, 2012), was awarded at the Hamburg Short Film Festival. Ghoneimy’s film The Cave (2013) is part of African Metropolis, a compilation programme consisting of short films on six African cities.
