From machine sentience to images of unknown provenance, AI is full of potential ethical pitfalls and transparency potholes. We speak to artists imagining the near future of humanity’s new toy and discovering its potential uses in art and film. Joining the conversation are curators, programmers and producers investigating the same subject from a different angle.

Moderated by Cristina Kolozsváry-Kiss, with filmmaker Lawrence Lek (Empty Rider, IFFR 2025 Tiger Short Competition), Brecht Vanhoutten (Ethereal Rhythms, Everything Rhymes, IFFR 2025 Short & Mid-length), film programmers and producers Anna Giralt Gris, Jorge Caballero (The Rock Speaks) and Bregtje van der Haak (director of Eye Filmmuseum).
