Pussy Riot’s conviction was condemned worldwide. Pussy Versus Putin provides an insider’s look into the deliberations of these feminist activists: we see the activists planning their meetings, actions and performances and finally footage of them behind bars, awaiting their trial in court.
A special IFFR presentation of this documentary, made by Russian film collective Gogol’s Wives, is the lead-up to the live shows by Scofferlane and Jack Wood, with an introduction to these Russian bands by Nadya and Masha (Pussy Riot on Stage) on Wednesday 28 January at 21:00 in Oude Luxor.
