Papier-mâché marionettes, the passengers from Noah’s Ark and an astronaut who gives his genitals to a girl - The Ark opens an exuberant world in which the Bible and psychoanalysis are whipped into a heady mix. Animators Léon and Cocina elevated their talents to new heights (during courses at De Ateliers in the Netherlands) and in the process honour Athanasius Kircher, a seventeenth-century scientist/fantasist.
