Starting point for the film was formed by the play The Road to Damascus that August Strindberg wrote 100 years ago about a man who gets lost in his own mind and has lost faith in his own emotions and those of others. In the footsteps of Strindberg, we travel from Copenhagen to Damascus, looking for answers, repeatedly losing our way, yet still finding a way out. On the way, we are accompanied by the voice of Sten Johan Hedman.
