A series of absurd situations related to the period of the personality cult, the absurdity of which we have not yet been able to fathom. The hero in the film borrows a tomcat from a cat?hire service. In vain, he tries to return it, but he can't find the cat-hire service any more or the clerk, who he's sure is the only one who can help him. The title of the film refers to a muscular stone statue, the shoulders of which bear a great weight. The film is reminiscent of Franz Kafka's works, although its makers pretended they had not thought of him directly when they were shooting the movie.
