Just as in the previous films by Arnaud des Pallières (Is Dead (portrait incomplet de Gertrude Stein), Drancy Avenir and La mémoire d'un ange), this is about a journey to the land of memory. A paradoxical memory in this case, because it is only about memories of other people, evoked by the dream factory. What are the promises that the silent characters can offer us for the price of an admission ticket in this amusement park? Which form has our childhood taken on? This fake tourist film, shrouded in lively colours, returns in slow motion to an already devastated source; a melancholy journey in which the sound transfers its changes to the image. (J-P. R.)
